If you like yoga and if you like art, you're going to LOVE this event!

Berwick & Borders Yoga is teaming up with the fab folk at Allanbank Arts to offer you a wonderful opportunity of real escape in this yoga and art retreat. We understand that if you have a family, a complete retreat is often very difficult to negotiate. This is why we're offering this 3-day retreat as non-residential. However, if you like the idea of making things more residential, there are cottages on-site available to let for the entire week. Check out the About Scotland website for availability.

Each morning will start with a 30-minute meditation to settle and ground. The rest of the morning will be spent exploring the possibility of moving awareness out of the head and into the body via both flowing and more static yoga practices. We'll be tapping into the body's own innate intelligence with a view of letting instinct move through us rather than suppressing it. By moving emphasis to the somatic experience, we aim to free the subconscious and challenge patterns of thoughts that contain and restrict our creative potential.

To refuel, there will be an artisanal lunch of homemade soup and bread each day.

Each afternoon will be spent in the art studio putting the morning's work into practice via a variety of media. You will work under the experienced eye of Allanbank Arts founder and tutor, Liz Hardy, who will encourage you to work from the heart, bypassing the inner critic!

There will be refreshments throughout the day and all art materials are included in the price.
